Rooibos
Rooibos is referred to as "the miracle tea" in South Africa. In Japan it is known as "long life tea."
Scientists have found Rooibos to be valuable in the treatment of high blood pressure, diabetes, mellitus, allergic diseases, various skin diseases, liver diseases and cataracts.
Rooibos contains no oxalic acid, making it a good beverage for people suffering from kidney stones. It is also rich in Quercetin, which is well known for increasing capillary strength, aiding circulation, preventing hemorrhaging, and protecting against infections. Also natural in Rooibos is the flavone Luteolin, which is known for it's antispasmodic properties.
Rooibos contains no caffeine and very little tannin. It is completely pure and natural. Because Rooibos contains less than half the tannin found in regular tea, it is naturally sweet and can be enjoyed without sugar.
